My Two Chicks
I had 3 chicks and the black one died. Siggie took it home in a box and tried to save it but it died. She said ' "I understand the life cycle, Gigi". We are going to have some baby chickens in about a month, but this rooster is old and I don't think all the eggs will be fertile. Larry says NO big chickens will be hatched. He likes the banties the best. I want some of the ones that lay colored eggs as Siggie would like them.
Siggie and I have planned that I can bring her lunch once at week at her school. She said once in a while bring Pop!

Sights Today
Fun in the Sun
Laura resting. Shell Astrid found on the beach. I think the girls are looking for shells. They are found most abundantly in the morning as the tide goes out. Each day the tide brings new ones in for searchers to find. Astrid rises early and she and Laura go search. They are at Captivia if anyone wants to see where it is.

Erin is a scanning demon!
I store my photos in boxes--plastic. Erin took one box and scanned in what she wanted and stored the scans on an external drive. (Remember she is just like Fleta.) She came this weekend and brought me a non stick skillet for my birthday. She got me one for Mother's Day and I told her it was nice but I wanted the medium sized one as for me and Larry that one is the size I need. I kept the one she got me for it was a very, very nice one. I just put it up. For by birthday....I got another one almost identical to the one I got in May. She always says I can trade it, but this one was nice too so I put it up. I told her THE ONE I WANT IS the 8 INCH ONE. I am thinking maybe I will get if XMAS. Or maybe another one like the two I have!
Erin sent me this photo as it was in the box she took. She has already scanned in the entire box of pictures. She said there were a bunch of Helen's kids. I don't know the year of this picture but there is a dog laying behind me. Maybe a Beagle as Dad liked to have them. I have on clothes Aunt Helen gave us. They were always tight on me because I chubbier than she...well, she was thin. I remember squeezing into this wool skirt and I loved the black jacket with the big buttons.
After Fleta went to work, we did not get so excited over Helen's clothes sharing. Fleta took care of all of us. Sort of like...........happy days are here again. We went to the movies, had good things to eat, got new clothes while Fleta stood on a coke box at Tysons and pulled crops...
btw, Patsy, this is all true!! teehee
Always Doing Something!
I think the girls are dancing to the Wi here. I got a new Iphone. Don't really know how to use it...but I thought I might enjoy texting and all that so why not. I am learning slowlllllllllllyyyy.
Laura sent this video to my phone. I sent it to my email and uploaded it here.
Fleta do you have text on your phone...if so I might start bothering you while you are trying to work at Tysons.
Nice Shower!

Doom Us
We often go south to pick up a Feist puppy. If someone breeds a dog to Larry's males, he will accept $350.00 or two puppies. Most folks go for the 2 pups which he sells for $700.00. Saturday, we went to Dumas, AR and picked up a pup. Larry sold one before we ever picked it up...so there was only one.
When going to Dumas, you pass the 'big house' and I always pay attention as we go by. The 'big house' has a big farm. The inmates can choose to work or not. We have passed and seen guards riding horseback with a rifle 'in hand' watching a crew do some type of labor. In the above picture they are burning the fields before replanting. There are signs along the interstate near the 'big house' letting you know to NOT pick up any hitchhikers.
