Old Sister

Patsy and her 'Tick' weed?
Found this poem that fit my oldest Sister. It is
by Mary Elizabeth Mahnkey..

TO A MELANCHOLY LADY
Raise some guineas
Raise some gourds.
Make a little gesture towards
A richer life in service passed
To leave some imprint that may last.
If not great deeds
Or golden words,
Then raise some guineas
Raise some gourds.

    I like that poem. We don't have to do great things to make a difference. That's what I take from that. We probably don't even have to raise some guineas. I've raised gourds - and maybe that's enough.
