Nightshift

Sigrid worked her first 6 to midnight shift at the College library. She is glad she’s learned to crochet.  She’s making a bag of some type out of these hearts and she finished two last night.  She must know every bone in the body by next week so she studied that.  She works Sunday afternoon and some In between her classes Monday plus this one late night shift.
I walked up and down the lane in front of my house yesterday. I can’t walk my trail through the pasture. There’s just too much snow still. It’s slowly melting.  Sunday it’s really cold again starting 3 days of deep freeze again. Older I get the harder this cold is.  How do the folks up north survive?

  1. Pretty snow scenes. I think you got more than KC. Suggestion from a retired occasional night nurse. Get an orange light bulb from Home Depot and put it in your bedside table lamp. On the nights worked, try not to look at the sun, keep your house as dark as safely possible, and turn on the orange light. It makes your brain think it's the setting sun, and makes it easier to go to sleep when it's actually daytime. Linda in Kansas

  2. We have about 34 F today!! Got gas and a car wash, went to the Post Office and Grocery Store. It was nice!! I have a great pair of boots (Bearpaws) they are warm and I usually dress in layers and I have several parkas! Hats are necessary! All vanity goes out the door when Winter comes:) The car has a heated steering wheel and heated seats...boy is that nice!
