Buckeye

A Buckeye in your pocket is supposed to bring good luck.  They are also poisonous. I saw this Ohio Buckeye yesterday at Lake Dardanelle. It’s Ohio’s state tree and of the horse chestnut family. 

Astrid has added turkeys to her flocks.
Erin bought cherries and Ada loved them. She got another new dress. She loves all girly things. Opposite of her sister.
I’m taking my local paper again. It comes in my mailbox. The news is usually old, but I love the hold in your hand puzzles. I do the crossword and cryptogram in it. I like puzzles. I also work Connections, Wordle and Waffle everyday. Connections is the hardest for me.

    There is a Buckeye tree near a field on the way to town, it changes color soon as it is the first one to color up! Ada is so cute in her new dress! Turkeys can be very friendly, My Dad had one that would come when he called and was best friend with the dog:)

    I miss getting a newspaper, but no one delivers them around here and I hate on-line ones. I didn't realize that buckeyes were related to horse chestnuts. My grandsons love cherries too; I do not. :)
