Friday and Spring

This is pink wood sorrel. It’s really pretty, very tiny. I weed eated a little yesterday and spied it low in the grass.

If I had these I could let my chickens free range. The Red Tail Hawks couldn’t get them. But I’d have to catch them and put them in this cage to let them out.
Astrid got a solar light rain gauge. Mine is just a tube! I get to eat out today with my friend Kay. Her treat. I’m having fried catfish and hush puppies. I’m hoping it’s good. If a restaurant doesn’t change their oil in the fryer like they should it’s gross. I’ll take the chance!  We’re going to a small town south of us, Belleville, AR.

Hope the catfish is the best ever!

I like catfish, but as you say, bad grease can ruin a fried dish. I'm not sure what hush puppies are. If they're potatoes, I would probably like them! Hope it's a delightful and delicious outing.

Hush puppies are fried cornmeal balls.
