Yesterday, Laura returned to school for another year. They have a back to school breakfast prepared by the Chamber of Commerce and our neighbor of long ago Stacey Rose. Laura carries a lunch and she often shares with me. On my walk, I picked up lunch at my mailbox. Today it was breakfast—chocolate oatmeal made into a muffin. Since I taught 40 years, I went back to school most of my life. I tried to care about every child.

Beautiful--she has aged incredibly well! I get "funny" feelings in August after teaching for 37 years. It took me a long time in retirement to relax in this month and not feel like I needed to get ready for back to school. Yummy!
