Fall Family Fotos

Getting a Hair Cut!!!

Erin showed me this...go look.  We have all been there!  I love her reasoning ...if Sister's hair got longer and she wiped her butt it would be in the way.

One Life

Helen got me to thinking about Veterans' Day.  Lots of lives are lost to war.  Every person has been affected after any of the conflicts.  Who said something like "old men make wars and young men die".  During the early wars, rich men paid someone to go in their place.  Governments went to other countries and "hired" warriors.  I am thinking of the Hessians during the Revolution.
Here is one man lost to war.  His name was Glen Garrison, born in 1926, died in 1945.  Below he is pictured with his cousin who loved him dearly
Here is a letter he wrote to the above lady's family, his Aunt and Uncle Tom Cretie Casey. He had less than 3 months to live.

Looks like he had a photo made with a local girl

Coupon Link For Fleta

Coupon Ozarks Lady!

Fleta, Erin uses this link.  She lives up your way and posts the coupons to all the stores each week.  Erin carries the printed off list to the store.  She says you can sort the list and only get what you want.
Say you want fruit.  You can sort that.  Erin said the 50 mile thing was off too.  I don't know about that. She says it can be farther now....well, Erin say anywhere!

Quotes

My school has been in the local news and mentioned on the Today show.  Some children spend a lot of time thinking of destructive things to say.  Eric had one of his classes find inspirational quotes and leave them on the sidewalk leading to the entrance of the school.  The class put a positive note to a negative situation.

Maple Tree

My Maple tree has turned into a pretty orange.  Winnie's tree is a Japanese Maple.  Mine is just one dug up at the Creek.  It is still pretty.

Possum Trot

Dobs kept barking so Larry went back to see what she was saying.  She was saying shoot this possum.  The Feist dogs surround us keeping the predators at bay.

So Long Ago

In February 2006, Patsy and Helen started blogging.  Patsy had never used a computer.  She was 67 years old. That May she turned 68.  Patsy is tired now and her posts are different than when she started blogging.  Hang in there Patsy.  We want you to make that Blog at least 10 years old.  In February, we will hit 8 years.  I stole the picture from your second Blog post.
