Tree that blew down

Here is the Maple stump of the tree that blew down last week. Maples split really easy and sometimes the limbs sprout out low to the trunk. It was a big tree but with a huge limb broke off it was ugly.

Making Memories

Erin's early Christmas present to her girls was a trip to Verizon Arena and a night with Taylor Swift. They had a great time. Clayton stayed with Pop and I and was very good and easy to take care of...hope we get to keep him again.

Crepe Myrtle, Rose of Sharon, and Forsythia

There are 3 bushes here..a Crepe Myrtle, Rose of Sharon and an Forsythia. the Forsythia has choked the Rose of Sharon. The previous owners thought you should make Lilac bushes and bushes like these 3 into a hedge!?! The Crepe Myrtles are starting to bloom. The Lilac looks awful from years of cutting it back. The Rose of Sharon is white with a purple center. I may try to dig it up as it is choked by the Forsythia. We will be moving soon to the new place. Not near
all stuff done, but it will take years to do it all.

Working Hard Everyday

I know the date on the camera is wrong. Erin is here and I can get her to fix it if she will.
Larry is working hard everyday and I guess we will be over in the Meadow in a couple of weeks.
It will take 10 years to get all the stuff done. He has the chain link gone so the yard is open. The metal carport is moved. Trees are trimmed but more to do on them. One blew down this week and he had to cut the entire tree down. We have 2 new ceiling fans, a new butane heater, a new stove for the kitchen. We are going to get a new storm door for the back. He is going to break the garden this week so the dirt will be turned over and ready for spring planting.

Googling Brother

Who is this Clayton Powell????Did not know there was more than one but guess there is.

I googled my brother, Clayton. I got a lot about the former governor of Ark. Adam Clayton...but was surprised that some mother named her son after my brother! On the first page of google...nothing about my brother. The computer really messed up on this one. Our brother is tops. He will soon be 65 which he is happy for. 65 is better than 64...because of Medicare!

Erin, look what Daddy found

in the old garage at Mema's. It fell once and the class broke. That is why it has those little scratch marks. All the pictures she had out on her wall were there. Plus some little albums.
I am glad they left them. I have been wondering for years about where this picture was.

Trees and Twigs

Roger Garrison, Jim Garrison, Larry Renfroe Garrison, Bill Casey
Male offspring of two men below. Larry, his brother Roger (shorter man on left), and the man on the right are descended from Grandpa Garrison (with hat). The second man from the left is a descendent of Jim Garrison (without hat). Larry and I knew Jim Garrison as he lived here in Pope County. Larry favors both of his relatives.

Irony

This is Larry's father and his brother, Roger. Today, Larry and Rog are going to a family reunion together. The little sweet baby is Janelle. She only lived 2 years. Roger said she had respiratory problems and his father held her all night her last night on earth.

I wants

This is Gilbert's table. I thought it was mine in the little image. We have not got anything moved into the house yet. The table and hutch is the first big thing I plan to move. I am getting a lot of "I wants".
1. I want new kitchen linoleum. The stuff on the floor has been there since 1960s.
2. I want a new stove. It is too dirty to clean Helen.
3. I want a gas stove to heat the house.
4. I want laminent or wood in the entry.
I want, I want, I want

I am going to get the two new stoves. Probably won't get new floor and a lot of other stuff.
I am moving all the jigsaw puzzles this morning to a closet in the living room. There are a lot of closets in this house. That is nice.

Larry has worked outside all week and the place is starting to look different. No tree had been trimmed since we were there in the 1980s. But we still have years of work ahead. Having a lot to do is really a good thing. Having nothing much to do is a bad thing.

Clayton is coming today!

Laura is Young Today

Today is Laura's birthday and I don't have many pictures of her on this laptop. She was born in 1974 so you can figure her number. She is a good daughter, sister, wife and mother. I hope she has a wonderful birthday. Sometimes I tease Siggie and tell her I am going to whip her mother because she is my daughter and I can. Siggie will always say "I love my Momma; she is good." This is true.

Happy Birthday, Laura.
