Get R Done

Stick to it!  Use that brain!  Greta and Clayton finished the puzzle.  Who put in the last piece?  That was always a big thing at our house.  Pop would hide a piece and then put it in last!  So glad Clayton and Greta are brainers!

Puzzle Time

Clayton and Greta have been working a puzzle this weekend.  Erin loves them as does her Dad.  Larry would color in their coloring books with them in the floor.

Sisters

Astrid is upset with Ingrid and Ingrid is upset with Astrid.  I saw this on Erin's SFly acct.  Made me smile!

Great Day For A Hike

Erin and the kids went to Pedestal Rock--I think.  Love Erin's pictures.

This one may be my favorite.

Happy Birthday, Erin

You did not forget His Word!  You are the age I was when my Dad passed away.
And show Greta that you played basketball too!

Thanksgiving Thanks!

Thankful for the cinnamon roll Laura brought Pop and I early this morning.
 Thankful for the 3 sisters!
Thankful Astrid's boyfriend is so nice.
Thankful for all the delicious desserts.

Old Riddle

Larry cut this out of the AR Demo Gazette.  I solved it right away.  Can you?  Answer in comments.

Erin's Cooking Today

Erin is making pecan pies today and soaking her turkey in a brine.  I have to get my dressing ready to cook tomorrow and make my green salad.   Picture from my November 2010 folder!

Fleta, I read about a lady in LR who had taught school and had several degrees.  She was ready to retire and her husband too.  Well, for some reason, and probably a sad one....she took her daughter's 4 children to raise.  The youngest is about 12 now I think, but was a young tot then.  Her husband divorced her and left.  He wanted to travel in his retirement and not raise a young family.   I surmised that the children were not his grandchildren.  She said she did not even feel badly toward him for his decision.   She had a dream the the oldest grandson was be electrocuted for murder and wanted her to come.   She chose the four kids and did not look back.  She almost has her job done.  It was an inspiring tale.

Helen could not get over her pig attraction.  She kept one to slop longer.  A little restaurant in Alpena saves all their slop for her. She goes there every 2 or 3 days and picks it up and hauls it home.  Lordy, Helen is in the bacon now!

In 1979, right after Thanksgiving I gave birth to Erin.  She came early.  Not due until about December 6, I think.  I am thankful for her today as she is cooking and I am only cooking a little.  She gave me assignments of stuff she does not even like.  Oh, Erin, of little faith!  I asked something about the dressing and she said--I don't care as I don't even like it!

Ingrid Will Be Driving

Ingrid turns 16, December 10.  She will be driving the Pathfinder.  I zoomed for the picture below and you can see she covered the steering wheel with pink.  I think she could not get the steering wheel clean enough for her.

Laura and Eric bought a new Ford Explorer.

The yellow Finches have been here this week.  They are not bright yellow like in the spring but I still love having them come by.
Seems like the Finches are redder in the fall.  This one is almost as red a the Cardinal.
Helen is not longer a pig slopper.  She butchered her hogs.

Harrison, Arkansas

Erin took some of these in an alley in Harrison and some by Crooked Creek!  They are very good. I love Greta's shirt and her short boots, plus her haircut.  I love Clayton's haircut and shoes.  He is my most handsome grandson!  Erin used some of the birthday cash I sent her to buy the children new shoes.  She is a wonderful mother!
