Red fall is just around the bend in Galla Meadow.Ingrid starts to kindergarten. Astrid will be in
the 2nd grade. Siggie will be in pre-school with
the bigger kids. Laura, Eric, and I will all return
to our classrooms. We should cherish each season,
each year, each day. I hope I do something today
to create a good memory for someone...especially
myself!

I'm starting to notice signs of Fall also, in a leaf that's no longer green or a plant that comes to it's end. It's bittersweet when I see the coming of Fall. I love that season most of all but dread the dreary wintertime - thus the bittersweetness of Fall.
I guess it is as our lives, we love the simpleness of our aging but dread our winter of life. Would we wish our winter away...to be taken in our fall or even our summer...never. I will cherish this winter with my little Christensen girls!

When I was a kid we always started school in September...it was hot but with a hint of fall. I liked it like that. 8-13 is better than 7-30 for starting school! About your chickens. I have that same feeder hanging from my coop. Well I gues my hen house has a leak b/c the food has been getting wet. Danny & I had to dump the food, clean it & move it yesterday. HOWEVER I have decided when these 2 hens die & I get new ones...I'm only going to feed them scraps. My rooster eats whatever & any of my other chickens have too until these hens. They want eat ANY scraps. I dumped a pile of black berry seed & pulp from making jelly & they didnt touch it. WEIRD! I wonder if I fed them plenty of scraps if they would still lay? (That is new hens if I had them) This is a Patsy question aint it! LOL. Sorry for getting so long!
