Paths we take!

Patsy, if our DNA points to
Maryland...names will not matter...but
the Isle of Wight DNA and the Maryland DNA
is the same. Early men that came were often
related. I am bothered by the Catholics of
Maryland. I do believe we are protestants.

Here is a path to follow. Betty Powell had
granddaughters named Astrid, Ingrid, and Sigrid.
Follow that back to Hazel and all those other
names...but now look at my Grandson and see
the Powell heritage in his name.

I am so hoping that the DNA test will help
us see who we are before the American coastline
settlement.

Walter Powell was not a Catholic. He was at times Quaker, but not consistently. Hid daughter married a Presbyterian Minister.

Two of the ones we 'almost' match track back to the William Powell line in Isles of Wright.

I am not convinced of your Walter Powell thingy. I did not find Hardy and Britian signing any papers together, only living in the same area at the same time. Are you sure they lived on connected land or just in the same county?

The Powell book said the powells there signed together. I found them near each other on the census.

Walter was in Va. before Maryland...someway he may a relative of our Charles.

Lucas said that Hardy and Brittain were on the grand jury together. Their names were by each other one
census and on the same page in another. Hardy is probably a last name. Brittain they think came from
Brittingham.
