Helen is helping Debbie with her shirt. I see Clayton and Angie on the dresser and the oil lamp Larry gave Momma. Fleta bought this little instant camera and we thought it was the best. What we did not know was the photos would all fade.
Yes but Betty when I look at the quality of these it just endeers me to them because I remember how poor we were. And yet it was the happiest time of my life. I look back and it does make me sad and I remember at the time I worried some but not like after I left home. That house and Mom and Dad always made me feel safe. sometimes at school I would feel scared or anxious and all I wanted was to be at home. I still feel safe in Clayton's house. It is the most comfortable place I know.
