July 4, 2012, no fireworks this year. I don't really care for it anyway. Seems a big waste of money. Some families will spend 1000s on the fireworks. Also, seems silly that there are still fireworks stands every mile or two along the road! They can sell 'em but you can't shoot 'em.

Is it true that you shouldn't plant watermelons and cantaloup (sp?) side by side? Supposedly, it will make them taste alike. Myth or fact?
Watermelon and cantaloupe will not cross pollinate. Different varieties
of cantaloupe will cross pollinate;
