One Life

Helen got me to thinking about Veterans' Day.  Lots of lives are lost to war.  Every person has been affected after any of the conflicts.  Who said something like "old men make wars and young men die".  During the early wars, rich men paid someone to go in their place.  Governments went to other countries and "hired" warriors.  I am thinking of the Hessians during the Revolution.
Here is one man lost to war.  His name was Glen Garrison, born in 1926, died in 1945.  Below he is pictured with his cousin who loved him dearly
Here is a letter he wrote to the above lady's family, his Aunt and Uncle Tom Cretie Casey. He had less than 3 months to live.

Looks like he had a photo made with a local girl
 Change of address
In his mother and dad's house on a visit home.

 Same  day with his Momma.
