I was at the hospital to see this new baby. Hisgrandmother works with me. His life will have
bumps but I hope not too many. Mother young,
unmarried, black, poor. I told Grandma every
child was a blessing, the greatest we receive in
life. We had a shower at my school for the little
one and some whispered 'can't go'. I went with
a bigger gift than usual. Maybe I can smooth
out one little bump.

Sister Three, every child is indeed a blessing, a gift of potential for all humankind. I hope this little treasure receives lots of kindness and help when it's needed.

I was trying to be nice...but I kept thinking. this does not look like a little black babe to me.
So those of you knowme, will not be surpised that finally I just said it. As it is hard for the sisters to keep quiet when they are thinking something. Mom had a c section maybe why he is so pretty. His hair was stright and he looked like me. I told them maybe I had better take him home with me. sis 3
