This refers to my favorite of all our Presidents. Ofcourse, he has family ties to my Aunt Helen. But
this one could teach our current President
about being strong, but being compassionate.
I agree with President Carter that we have the
bottom of the lot leading us today. He is a failure
on all issues domestic, foreign, environment. A
complete dud. I put him right in the class of
Herbert Hoover!

you rate him too high to compare him to Hoover - Even Hoover wasn't scum!
Hoover, I think, was a president who rose to his level of incompetence, having been competent before hand. But this one, I can't think of anything he was ever really competent at doing. Can you?
When I learned about Truman in school, Iliked him, too, although my dad couldn't stand him. Of course, he was for universal health care, and dad and the other doctors back then, called it "Socialized Medicine" and lobbied against it, unfortunately. I think Truman and Carter were more appreciated after their terms were over than they were while they were President.
