The bottom photo was taken several years ago. I recall the rock was covered with moss now it looks as if the moss is gone? Wonder what happened to it?

OK, I know you think you know this rock and this creek, but I can not for the life of me make your rock and Erin's rock into the same rock. They are not the same shape and yours tilts at an angle up to the right while hers is sets flat. The moss likely went the way of the water, dried up and died, but my mind can not get around the difference in the way the rock lies.
I think it is the same rock because Erin said she did not climb on top like we did...I think we went in spring so maybe there is moss then and by fall it dies.
it looks like the same rock to me. it was the same spot. i knew it the morment i saw it. maybe the problem is with sweet sister's eyes!! a lot can change in 10 yrs.

Sister Sweetness
Well, I looked at Erin's blog and her rock. I am thinking her photo is the other side of the rock?

I guess you can say the Powell's have "a piece of the rock"!
I think one or two of them have rocks in their heads, and it aint me.
