Roger and Brenda Allred Gregory came from Springdale to meet me. He’s my cousin through Mom, just like I’m kin to sweet Irene. He said he went to school at Lurton and his father Ben Gregory worked for I.C. Sutton at the chair, handle, etc. factory. They moved to Harrison when Sutton moved his operation there. We had such a interesting visit. It’s neat to visit with folks that have the same heritage you do!
I used rhubarb Sister Helen shared with me and made strawberry rhubarb cobbler. We just ate sandwiches. I’m not a very good cook anymore.
Brenda Allred is cousins with Mary Katherine Allred Powell. So she had a connection to my family too. She loves genealogy. We just had lots in common so it was fun to meet them.
