Got this book at my favorite Pope County Library! I grew listening to baseball on the radio with my Dad Cotton Powell. He was a Cardinals fan, but Pete was an opponent! Charlie Hustle was born on the wrong side of Cincinnati with baseball and gambling both running in his blood! ⚾️🏟️⚾️
Ever read a book and wish you hadn’t. Pete Rose still holds the record of MLB's all-time leader in hits (4,256). He played in 3,562 games. He won three World Series championships, three batting titles, one Most Valuable Player Award, two Gold Glove Awards, and the Rookie of the Year Award. He was not a man of character.

I am a baseball fan also, I understand the game...vs football which I do not understand. I grew up listening to games with my Dad on the radio, if he was fixing farm equipment on the weekend he would drive his pick up close by and turn the radio up. Minnesota Twins fans of course. I think Pete Rose was a MN Twin at some time. Not sure I would read the book. Have you watched Field of Dreams? and the movie about womens baseball...I cannot recall the name...loved them all.
Just read no he was not a MN twins player...just as well.
