It is cool in the mornings, but by evening my bird bath is full of Blue birds splashing in the water trying to get relief from the heat!

Grappling

Larry was able to sit in a chair and finish installing his grapple.  The third function valve was the difficult part.  The Tractor place charges $500.00 to install it to give you an idea.  He watched the utube videos and now we are ready to pick up some logs when his side is better.

Greta Sounding Out Words

Greta is sounding out words!  Since, she can not hear certain sounds, it is pretty awesome!  She is loving first grade.

 Erin said she and Clayton hit the thrift stores today, went for a walk, and had lunch.  When you take Clayton to eat out, you don't have to worry about getting your money's worth!  He is a good eater.  Loves nearly all fruits and vegetables, plus almost everything else!

Erin's Trouble At Work

 Erin visits homes with the Area Agency.  She was going on a visit today and hit a road block.

This is how Greta did her hair for school.  Don't you love it.  I hope Erin let her keep it this way.  I know I would have.  Greta is really reading well and is sounding out words.  So proud of her.  She is playing soccer again and loves the running and kicking.

25 years ago today my Momma passed away.  She loved us all perfectly.

September and Syble

 Miss Phoebe came to see us the other morning.  She stayed a while and then when I walked I told Astrid she would follow me and she could call her.  Well, she called and Phoebe hid.  She wanted to go back to see Pop again and get another treat.

 This is a moth I think not a butterfly, but it is still pretty.

 All the Cone flowers are saying "hi" to me and I have a Spider Lily blooming.  Well, several of them.

 Up in Cliff and Stream, one of the large houses has this cross on the front windows.  I enjoy going out side and seeing it shining on the mountain.

 My camera is a cheap one and over exposed above, but I really like the look.

Larry went to Dr. Johnson.  He think Larry has a torn oblique which takes a long time to heal.  At least, we don't have to worry about some of the stuff we dreamed up!!   It was been almost a month of hurting, but maybe one day we will both be better.

My friend Syble turned 90 today, September 7th.  Astrid's day is April 7.  Seven is a perfect number.  Syble and Astrid are both pretty special.

Dismissed

 Astrid graduating from kindergarten and this years picture.

Doctor dismissed me.  Said the clot in my groin was gone.  Last shot tonight and then on with my  life.  If Larry's side can get better, we will be clicking again!

Horseshoe Canyon

 Astrid and her friend went to Horseshoe Canyon today.  Astrid said this is above Clinton, AR and the River you see is the Buffalo River.

 Sigrid went to Petit Jean with her friend, Kenzi.  Kenzi's dad is a first cousin to Angie's daughter Amber.

Both girls had fun I am sure.  Back to school tomorrow.  I go to L R to the Vein Doctor.  I am keeping my fingers crossed for no more shots in my stomach.

Erin said she cleaned off her patio.  I know she loves having this place to sit and watch Clayton and Greta playing.

Flowers and Flyers

When Erin and Clayton and Greta came Saturday for our birthday celebration, Laura got in her attic and pulled out Barbie Doll furniture for Greta.   She loves it.  Two big tubs of furniture and appliances.  Clayton told me he sure wished one of Auntie Laura's girls had been a boy.  Poorest little, fellow!

 I took this with my phone on my morning stroll.  I forget what this plant with the purple berries is called.  Amy~Patsy will know!  I know it is a weed that Larry hates as we can't clear the pond bank as we used to do, but isn't lovely.

 When I went on my walk this week about 6:30, I could see that most of Laura and Eric's house was sleeping; however, little Sig was up and getting ready because her Dad leaves early.  He is gone by 7, but I know why.  A teacher is worn out at the end of the day.  If any planning or gathering is to be done, it as to be in the morning before school begins.

 This is a phone photo and it is turned wrong, but it is a little yellow bell looking wild flower.  Nice.

 This is bitter weed.  Keep the cows out of it or their milk will taste horrendous.

 Fog comes on little cat feet--sneaking in--covering all with a smokey haze!

 Hope Amy will take a look at this bird.  Two flew into my glass door on my back porch.  Is it a warbling vireo?  They were addled but finally flew away.  I just left them along until they revived!

Long Weekend

Today is Grandpa Gaddy's birthday and Amy~Patsy's.  Happy Birthday, Amy.

Greta wrote a little story about taking turns.  I can understand all of it.  In soccer, she will pass the ball so her friend can score!  

The Cyclones played their first football game last night.  Ingie is below with some of her friends at perhaps a pep rally.  

Greta and Clayton are coming today and we will celebrate Laura's birthday with cheesecake!

Sharing Post from this day is 2007--all is well with my soul!  Happy Birthday again, Laura, 43, agains!

Ten years ago, I wrote this on Laura's birthday....still true and still the way I feel!  In 2007, I had three grandchildren.  The Lord has continued to bless me as now I have added Clayton and Greta to my list of wonders!

News Today

Greta's picture was on FB reading to a fourth grader at her school.   Looks like several words on each page!

Erin explained to me what is happening with this reading session.  Greta (1st grade) is reading to a fourth grader!  Wow, she looks mature for 4th grade.  Anyhow, I tried to fix this on the I pad and the picture went away.  My Ipad is hanging up and not working well.  I think I may have to get a new one!

Astrid had a practice meet for Cross Country.  It was cooler this evening and I am glad as it is so hard to run when it is hot.
