Half April Over

Logan ordered something and didn’t pay attention to the address where the computer sent it.  It went to a house he lived in years ago with his Dad.  The lady who lives there now called and he went to pick up his package.  She presented him with this hand print he made in 2004.  I guess it was in a flower bed.  

Greta practices basketball skills twice a week.  Erin thinks she looks like a six grader.  She is tall for sure.  Her new pull up bar is helping her develop a lot of upper body strength.

Ingrid is working in a Daycare in Russellville.  Working all night in the EMR was too hard and go to school the next morning.  She is making important decisions about her life and I pray today the Lord will guide her choices.

 

Japanese Maple

Last year, Laura bought a Japanese Maple.  I was afraid that hard cold we had might have killed it but it is still alive.  It’s all leafed out.  My cousin has one and hers is gorgeous.  Hoping Laura’s keeps thriving.

 

Epley Maneuver

I'm really dizzy and am going to try this Epley Maneuver.  I hope it helps.  If you're dizzy all them time, it wouldn't hurt to try it.

 Follow these steps if the problem is with your right ear:

Start by sitting on a bed.

Turn your head 45 degrees to the right.

Quickly lie back, keeping your head turned. Your shoulders should now be on the pillow, and your head should be reclined. Wait 30 seconds.

Turn your head 90 degrees to the left, without raising it. Your head will now be looking 45 degrees to the left. Wait another 30 seconds.

Turn your head and body another 90 degrees to the left, into the bed. Wait another 30 seconds.

Sit up on the left side.

Follow these steps if the problem is with your left ear:

Start by sitting on a bed.

Turn your head 45 degrees to the left.

Quickly lie back, keeping your head turned. Your shoulders should now be on the pillow, and your head should be reclined. Wait 30 seconds.

Turn your head 90 degrees to the right, without raising it. Your head will now be looking 45 degrees to the right. Wait another 30 seconds.

Sit up on the right side.

What happens after the home Epley maneuver?

Most people say their symptoms go away right after they do the maneuver. In some cases, it may take a few times for the procedure to work. Some people may have mild symptoms for a couple of weeks. Once your symptoms go away, there is no need to keep doing the maneuver.

 Ada is watching her sister from the window.  Greta is practicing basketball.  Ada is wishing to join her....

Coloring

 

Ada is coloring on the table Pop crafted.  Pop loved coloring.  He’d get in the floor and color with Laura and Erin,then with the grandchildren.  I never had enough patience to enjoy coloring.

Pink Wood Sorrel

This little wildflower is clustered in my back yard.  It’s delicate and beautiful.  I’m going to put it in a pot and see if I can get it going like I did the wild violets.  It’s commonly called Pink Wood Sorrel.

My little flower is Oxalis, the False Shamrock!  The plant typically sold as a potted shamrock plant is Oxalis regnellii.  This small plant is loved for its clover-shaped leaves in various colors and the delicate flowers that bloom from fall until spring. Its delicate leaves fold up at night and reopen with the return of sunlight. Oxalis is a member of the wood sorrel family. Although both shamrocks and Oxalis have three leaves, they are from different plant genus, and the leaves and the flowers are shaped differently. Clover leaves are round while the wood sorrel has heart shaped leaves.  True shamrocks are members of the clover family!

Sibling Day

 

Sibling Day—half mine have crossed over.  Fourteen of my family below are no longer walking this earth.  Three of those little ones sitting in front have passed.  This was Dad’s birthday 1971.  Sibling Day makes my heart hurt a little.

Celebrate

 

Sigrid celebrated by renting a cabin on Mt. Nebo where she had a wonderful day with her sisters and friends.  She got a little crossed up in her math in the pic below.

 Thanks to Newton’s Pharmacy, Sigrid got her first vaccine today.  She is 16 so hers was Phizer.  All Laura’s family has been vaccinated.  💕👏💕

My Friend Has Moved Upstairs

 Tyrone Williamson has moved upstairs.  He worked on the building.  When I was teaching in Russellville, he came by often to check on us.  His eyes always sparkled and uplifting words poured from his lips.  He wore a lot of hats— including mayor, coach, meter reader, but mostly friend to all. At heart he was always a janitor!   His father was a janitor and he said he started working with his dad when he was about 9. He couldn’t  walk anywhere without picking up all the trash. He said it was a habit he couldn’t break, and didn’t even try as it honored his two fathers— his earthly one and His heavenly one.    I am proud to be among his friends.

Astrid is 21
