Mom loved this little store at Alpena. It is full of material that is affordable. I was tempted to stop the day I went to Patsy's. Today I am off to Harrison to spend the day with Erin... birthday present to myself!
When we lived in Green Forest when the Girls were small, I would go to the Rag Barn all of the time. It is still owned by one of the Bailey Girls. But she is an old woman now. I stopped in there my last visit. I bought my girls a gift from there and Barb some chicken stuff. It had changed a lot. It needs a face lift for sure. They used to have all of the latest and greatest fabrics. Now it is just old stuff. It was sad.
Sister Three, you and I share a little trait, I see. We both like to celebrate what I call "the many days of birthday". I started that when I became an adult and realized that it was up to me to make my birthday special. I've been having great fun for days, sometimes weeks, each year when I turn the calendar over.
Tomorrow is the real Betty day, and I'll wish you Happy Birthday then as well as now.
Almost every year for my birthday...I buy me a book I want...sometimes a high priced one. I love books.
I will have a great day for it will be spent with those I love. Astrid is staying all night and Pop is taking us out to eat...no cooking on birthday! Sis 3
