Siggie Calls 911

A few weeks ago Laura was going to head up Crow Mt. to pick up Sig's friend Mattie and take them to swimming.  We live at the foot of this steep mountain road.  We try to be very careful when we turn on the hiway from Galla Creek Lane.  Laura was turning up the road heading up the steep Crow Mountain road.  She barely got turned on the road when a car came speeding down the hiway on her side of the road.  The lady swerved to miss them and flipped her car.  I think Laura said twice but at least once.  They got pulled over and Laura turned to Sig and said, "you call 911.  I'm going down there".   Laura made her way to the lady in the car and Sig called and got help.  She said that she stayed calm and was able to tell them where to come.  The older lady was fine.  Thank heavens.  Other folks stopped to help and soon it was just not Sig and Laura.  We were so proud of Siggie for staying cool and calm and making the call for help.
Helen is taking her fern outside and shaking it everyday.  It may work in her house as she keeps the house really cool.  When I tried to keep my fern is was a messy disaster.   She says she has 3 so I hope it works.  Mine last year were so pretty that Larry wanted me to bring them in, but I just couldn't try it again.
