Arkansas Yucca

This is an Arkansas Yucca. Larry’s Mom planted it in the 1990’s so it is about 30 years old.  This one has scooted down hill and is almost out of my yard.  I am not crazy about them.  Chopping it down won’t kill it as older Yucca’s have tap roots 2 or 3 feet long.  They just come back.  It’s an agave.  Guess tequila could be made from the sap, but it’d have to be called something else.  Tequila can only be used as a name if it’s made in Tequila, Mexico.
