"made do". That meant you just used what
you had. If we did not have glue, Momma
said just use egg white. Smear the egg white on
and it will stick. If we did not have say almond
extract for a recipe, we would just use vanilla.
In the photo above, is a "making do" flower
pot. Isn't it lovely. Making do things are often
the best!

Thanks for the update on Patsy. I hope she'll take it easy while she's home (but I also hope she'll feel like writing on her computer).
Sister, that's a beautiful flower pot! Glad Patsy is getting to come home for a little. I also hope she'll feel like blogging.
Thanks for the nice comment you left me today. Also I was looking back at another comment you had made about the tree and even tho I had read it before it didn't hit me until today so thanks for a good laugh!
I think "making do" is a lot of fun, actually. I try to "make do" with what I have on hand when I cook meals and I try to "make do" with the clothes and shoes I have rather than go out and buy new. But I have the hardest time "making do" with the yarn I have on hand. I always have to get more and more and more.
I have a huge amt. of yarn that someone gave me (it belonged to her
mother and she died). But still I like to go to hobby lobby and buy new neat looking yarn to make my girls a new little hat to wear to keep their little ears from the cold.
