This is the Eli Washington Cooper family. He is the son of John Savage and John is Betty Cooper's brother. He married Sara Arminta Barnes. I think he looks red headed. The house below is where they lived in Shell Knob and then below it is how it looked after it was left uninhabited for many years. Grandpa Powell and Eli were first cousins.

I think he looks bald headed.
Grandpa Cooper was red headed before he went completely bald. My Mom used to say with so many kids in the family, it was no wonder he was bald from all the stress and worry.
The place in Shell Knob is gone, destroyed by fire and then finally fazed several years ago.
