Related to Patsy & Dillard

Marion Don Deshon

I got an email recently that said...this guy died and he
is kin to you. I checked his name...never heard of him.
But decided to see if I had him listed in my family file.
Sure enough he was there. His Great Grandparents were
Henry Poore and Mary Powell. His mother was Pearl Poore.
Mary Powell was the daughter of Elisha Powell and Mary
Holderman. Elisha Powell was our Henry Powells brother.
So we are kin to the guy who passed way...but what I
wonder is....was Dillard Poor kin to Henry Poore who
married Mary Powell.

Marion Don Deshon was a very honorable man who served his country proudly and gave so much. I'm glad his wife Shirrel put that sweet smile on his face for so many years and he had such a wonderful family. He had a love of country and faith and a strong desire to serve which he did with great pride and dignity. We owe him and all those who served and gave everything a tremendous amount of gratitude. I would have liked to know him much better and in a way I do.
