50 Years of Laura

Well,  she’s half a hundred!   We enjoyed Mema’s Cherry Cheesecake and Ingrid’s banana bread and lemon cookies.  We gathered at Astrid’s so momma didn’t have to clean up.

Ingrid Trebek created an original Jeopardy game—50 years of Laura.   Categories were: Finish that line, All Time Faves, Growing Pains, Movies, Books, Music, and Acts of Kindness!  One of Laura’s favorite sayings is “ Holy Buckets”.  A favorite movie from the 80’s is Love Story.  A very favorite book is Ava’s Man by Rick Bragg.  Her favorite singer with big hair is Dolly.  What she wanted to be before she became a speech pathologist was a beautician just like her sweet Mema who she loved beyond measure.  Ingrid worked so hard on our game to make her Momma’s Day special.  She had daily doubles and we raised our hands for buzzers!  The grand prize was 75 bucks to take Momma to eat.  Siggie won bur Eric was a close second. Happy Birthday to Lil’ Red who is quickly turning gray.
