One of Sister's Blessings

This was on Casey's FB.  Kyle and his friend, then Tony, Casey, and Adam with children Alivia, Kadie, and Burley Cole!  What a beautiful family.  Sister received a blessing from above with this group!   So proud of Tony!
Erin shared the photo below with me. That is Alivia (Patsy's Great Granddaughter) front second from the left!  She has respect!
Erin told me about a series of sermons she listens to in her truck going from place to place.  J. Vernon McGee died in 1988.  I heard one sermon today and he told of 7 things the Lord would like us to do!

1.  Study the Word.  Knowledge is the key to understanding.  We can never get enough of his Book!  Study it unceasingly.

2.  Pray in the Holy Spirit!  His Spirit is in us so we speak to Him through His Spirit.   Must pray through His will!  His will--my will--that is the way to pray!

3.  Keep yourself in the love of God.  God loves all!  His love shines always but we can move to the shade and get out of His light.  Stay in His love, stay in His light.  Don't move to the dark!

4.  Look for the mercy of Christ.   He has unending mercy.  Seek it!  Ask for it!  It is bottomless---always there--cup running over.  Mercy, mercy, mercy

5.  Have compassion for those in doubt.  Don't condemn!  Lift them out of the fire!  Extend your hand in the name of the Lord.  Have compassion!  Help!

6.  Pull all you can out of the fire!   Salvation is not found in the yellow pages but in Jesus.  Stay in His light and reach to those in the fire.  We can not cleanse only Jesus can.  We are covered with the Blood but the filth of the unclean can reach us.   We must continually seek and reach!

7.   Hate even the littlest spot on the garments of the flesh!  Flesh--hate it!  Spirit--love it.  Do works of the Spirit.  Our Lord hates works of the flesh!  Bragging is a work of the flesh!  Doing for the glory of mankind is a work of the flesh!

I enjoyed Dr. McGee's sermon.  He is very old and the utube video is old.  I do like old.  I have a kinship to it.

I do love a good sermon. It's been awhile since I heard one that really resounded with me, though.
