Astrid got up at 4:00 this morning and road to Arkadelphia to a Cross County Meet. The High School Girls ran at 8:30 and it was already hot, hot. She finished 5th which is pretty awesome. I think it was a large meet. Not just her division but others. The fastest boy from here finished 10th or so. Cross Country running is a sport for life. Most kids that run cross county continue to run as they grow up. I am really proud of Astrid. She chose this sport because she is good at it and likes it. She left her group of friends who she had competed with for years and signed up for what she wanted to do. Big step for a fine young lady!
