Floor Before It Is

 We wanted to put laminate floor in the living room not vinyl.  The vinyl gives more with weather and we will not have lots of water in the living room.  Mainly just a cup of coffee might spill!  

Larry picked one of the cheaper ones.  He said that way if we get tired of it we can take it up and put down something else. It is 8mm.  In the first picture, one strip is lying on the kitchen and it is pretty much seems to look ok.  There will be a transition between the two floors in the doorway.  The floor must sit in the house 48 hours before Larry puts it down.  I am counting 'til then.  This floor is called hickory.  

I can start looking for a couch and chair soon!
