After I succeeded in helping Astrid crochet the rag rug. I told Laura I thought I could teach Sigrid to crochet. When I saw how easy it was for Astrid, I realized that a beginner needs a big hook and also a string that does not seperate. Sigrid came over and sat with me 30 minutes or so working on the pot holder. I had the white center and a little purple done. She has completed all this and it may be big enough for a pot holder now. Another thing is a beginner does not need to have to count stitches. I think Sigrid has got this! What do you think?

My grandma used to crochet every time she sat down and didn't have anything else to do. I still have a couple of her doilies.
