Sharing Of Ourselves

There are three sisters remaining, Fleta, Helen, and me.  We share our lives on these Blogs.  Helen and Fleta live next door to each other and I live about 130 miles south of them.

Today, Fleta walked to Green Forest on her morning stroll.  I walked two miles which would have been to the top of Meek Hill and home.  Helen has been sick and is just trying to breathe without coughing, but if she had of walked...probably a mile would do it.
Last week Helen hung her clothes on the line to save money.  She sent me photos of both "ends"...the other end is full of bloomers and I will not show you that.
I tilled a little in the garden.  This photo is last years garden in June.  I don't want you to see all the grass...not weeds, just grass.  The tiller is humming good, but I will wait 'til evening to till more as the wet grass made a mess.  We will have no green beans as they did not come up.  Only about 5 hill of potatoes came up.  Just too wet.

Larry went to Sears to get the plug to put in the bottom of the gas tank on the tiller.  He cleaned the tank.  He puts clean gravel in and shakes it to clean it.  Then rinses with clean gas.  He also had to unstop the valve where the gas left the tank in the bottom going to the tiller motor.  When he pulled the valve it destroyed the gasket.  Sears had no idea what he was talking about.  They hire kids in all the stores so they can pay them low wages.  Larry explained that every small engine used the same plug.  He had researched it on the computer.   Finally he said to the clerk.  I know why your parking lot is empty!   He started home a saw a little home owned store with 4 wheelers and such outside.  Just a little operation.  He stopped there and a young girl looked at what he wanted.  Larry had taken the old one.  She said "I'll ask Harold in the back".  She brought out a big sack of the gaskets!  "How many do you want?" she asked.  A dollar each.  Larry bought 3.  Harold told him to rub grease on it so it would slip back in and to rub grease on the metal valve.  He told him to  put the gasket in and then insert the valve.  It went off smoothly and the tiller is running great.  Since it had not been in use since 1996, I am thrilled to have it resurrected.  I will till some more this evening.  You just follow along.  Easy peasy.

Now, if Sears had the gasket, it would have cost $10.00 to $20.00 and they would have had to order it and they would have put shipping on the amount.  Probably, when it came in, it would not have been the correct one!
