Patsy, I am enjoying the book you sent. It is a text. A book to learn by reading and studying. Chapter 5 talks about the 7 Feasts of the Jews. This is what I think these Feasts mean to us! Keep your porch light on! Remember what I think does not mean it is correct. You have an obligation to study and learn for yourself. No one can merely take what another says you must work out your own belief.
Feast of the Passover--Christ died for your sins. Mark your house with his blood. Can't hide it under a basket. The world must know that your house is covered by Christ's blood!
Feast of Unleavened Bread--The yeast is sin. Get it out of your life. Christ has forgiven all your sins, but you trying to get that yeast out of your life shows what you believe. If you are willing to remain in sin, you are not getting the full benefit of Christ's love for you. Get the yeast out of your life.
Feast of First Fruits--Give back to Christ. In secret do good and ask no reward. Give him your fruits. This is your works for the Lord. You do this for your Lord because you love him and want to please him. Give the best you can back!
Feast of Pentecost--The Lord left the earth but he sent us a comforter in the Holy Spirit. You must let yourself be lead by the Holy Spirit. Commune with the Holy Spirit and your life will be easy. He will show you what to do, when to do it, protect you, help you completely!
Feast of the Trumpets--The Trump shall sound and the Bride will meet the Lord in the clouds. This is the Rapture of the Church!
Feast of Atonement--Christ will come to Earth again on this day.
Feast of Tabernacles--Lord will reign on Earth 1000 years. We will dwell with him.
The first 4 Feasts occur in the Spring. The last 3 are in the fall.
