Bronze Iris

The top flower was given to me by Mary Bourne--about 20 years ago.  One year they bloom as such and the next year they will have those little hour glasses with the seed in the middle that are so often used in dryed flower arrangements.  Both years they are pretty.  This year mine have the purple blooms.
I saw this in the yard and remembered this is the bronze iris...you can tell by the brown color.

I'm pretty sure Dorothy gave them to me.

Laura said her Uncle Doug's wife Dorothy gave her the deep purple irises.
They were Dorothy's Mothers. The color is really beautiful.
