Gales win!!

Sigrid's Track Team won another meet.  This one was at Beebe.  Sigrid runs the 800 and the 4 by 800 relay.  She also is a good fill in when someone gets hurt.  Last meet she had to fill in on the 4 by 400 relay.  Laura said she was out there lined up with NO shoes on.  Guess Coach Fisher had to round up her shoes.  The first meet I saw her give Coach Fish her jacket and he had to go put it up.  All children are different and Sig has an easy way about her.  She does not usually get very nervous.   She loves speaking in front of a crowd.  Glad the Gales are winning.  Which one is Sigrid--the pretty one!

Astrid is working 5th grade camp this week.   She is teamed up with her friend, M. K.  They will stay in a cabin with a group of girls and will assist with the camp activities.  I am confident that Asti and M.K. will make a great team.

Worked outside today.  Did a little weed wacking.  Let my chickens out.   A grey cat (wild) was lurking around trying to get my chickens.  I may try to trap it.  It will not give up.  If Helen were here she would make short work of it.  We grew up on a farm and had to be able to "take care" of whatever came along.  Once Fleta and I walked to get the mail and threw rocks at a skunk--wrong idea.  We were smelly for a while.  I hope it was in the summer time but really dont' remember.  If Helen walked with us and saw a green snake, she would catch it and play with it.  Yuck!  We were 3 wild little girls.  Patsy was grown and married by the time I was 9 years old.  So she did not get in on our antics.
