Always Look At the Back of Pictures

I wanted to scan this picture of Helen and her felller.  I do not know him.  The picture was taken in June 1971.  Helen was 16 years old.  She turned 17 that August.  I told Helen about it and she wanted me to post it so she could see.
I can recall this outfit and was wondering if it belonged to me and I gave it to her.  By the summer of 1971, I had been married 6 months and it would have been sort of short on me...but maybe I just remember it and it was hers.  I think that may be the year that I bought her the gold ring for her birthday with an H on it.  Or maybe I did that the year before because it seems like I bought it the year she turned 16.  Now, I wonder, how in the world I paid for it, but I did.

Betty you bought me the gold ring when I was 14 I thought but could be wrong...I do not remember the outfit but remember the blouse and I made it...hot pants and short skirts were all the rage then...I remember I made several shorts and long tops over them. In most the top was longer than the shorts...I would think if it was store bought it came from you or Fleta... That was Gary Rudder he was a mess and the only guy I ever dated that did not have a cool car...

I bought the ring in Russellville I remember, Shepard's Jewelers. I do believe I walked from Tech to Russellville to buy it so it was before I had a car down here. Maybe I got it for you in 1969. I was not down here the summer of 1969. I went to Harrison and worked all summer. Who knows it has been too long. I was not in Russellville when you were 14. I came in Jan. of 1969 so it was after that.

It's neat that you sisters can stay in touch via blogs. Treasure every moment of it. I lost my only sister a couple of years ago. I miss her every day.
