My parents eloped! Her dress was blue. She pretended she was going to church and wore her best dress, but Daddy had bought her a powder blue one and I guess it was wadded up in a sack. They did not have a car and Rex Robertson (?) drove them to Uncle Jesse Powell's to be married.
