Snow

This is not much snow but it is enough for me and I would just as soon not have any more.

Pink Sky

Every morning I see such pretty scenes I could share with you...if only I have a camera like Helen, Fleta or Erin. This pink sky photo was taken this day at 7 a.m. I wonder if pink sky forecasts snow as that is in the weather report for tonight.

New Shoes!

I got my kids new shoes. They are all exactly alike and are like the ones Clayton used to play basketball in. Could not get young Clayton to line up to pose...like his namesake he is his own man.

Renfroe House at Snowball

Erin has a client that grew up in the old Renfroe house at Snowball. She has a painting of the house. This house would be Erin's Great Great Great Grandfather's. I had the photo of the house from the 1970s...Erin, do you think it is the same place? I do!

Over-night Guests

We had three over-night guests and they put on a musical for us. Great entertainment. I hope they will put on a repeat performance for Greg and Erin.

Merry Christmas to Me

My nests where I can get the eggs from the outside of the pen. I moved my 6 red hens, my 2 Rhode Island Red Banties, and 12 old fashion banties...giving me a total of 20 chickens, and oh, I moved the rooster!

Catching Up

I caught up on my Bible reading today. I was behind by 3 days. Helen is right on track so I had to run to catch up. I reread Romans 5 and 6 but then continued going on to chapters 7 and 8. I learned trials bring patience and patience brings hope to those who believe. We can only hope when we can not see our goal. I find hope a glorious gift. Without hope all is lost. I hope you have hope today.

Erin went yesterday to admit a new patient to home care. She thought she recognized the flat roof house with the small front yard. She asked who they purchased the house from and they said

Later this week the temp is to fall into the 20s here. I am already looking toward spring and trying to garden! I am like my Daddy. Winter is depression season.

Discipline

I am trying to read the Bible in 52 weeks. I only started yesterday, but I hope I can continue this through the year. I read the devotion book Fleta bought me in 1995. I started in April and finished it in November. I will try to copy the schedule here for reading the Bible.

Erin has to work

Erin was off Thanksgiving Day so she has to work all weekend. If I were up there, I would take care of this little one.

What was Best!

This is Erin's kitchen. Everything was delicious yesterday--turkey, ham, mashed and sweet potatoes, green beans, salad, pumkin pie and pumkin roll, but being with loving family topped it all.

My chicken pen is almost ready for the chicks. I have been cleaning the pond bank so Clayton can go fishing next spring.

I don't remember playing with my cousins expecting Jerald Dean and Sharon Kay. I bet Patsy remembers playing with Truman's kids. Siggie wants to boss Clayton but he is like his namesake he shakes his head in acknowledgement and then ignores what she said.

Thirty years ago this was the day after Thanksgiving. Erin was already here she was born about daylight! I cooked Thanksgiving dinner that year for Larry's Mom and sister. This year Erin is cooking for us and Greg's family too! Hope you have a good day, Erin.
