Reading

I am reading this book by Melissa Fay Greene.  I read a book by her called Praying for Sheetrock.   It was good and this one looks like it will be too.

Feisty

It was warm here today.  Larry has the drip row in for my tomatoes and they loved the drink!

Making a Bed For My Tomatoes!

For The Birds!

Enjoyed the birds this evening after I got off work.  I made a cup of coffee and had some graham crackers with the cup as I watched the Galla Meadow birds!  These are the Blue Birds I have Mountain Blue Birds are even prettier.  They are solid blue where these have an orange belly!

Listen to the Mockingbird!

Mockingbirds were singing and flying all over my backyard this evening. They usually are only in my front yard, but tonight they were entertaining me and I sure enjoyed their songs.

Get Set

Today, I rested my knee. I signed up for my Social Security. Only 6 more weeks of labor.
Up top is a Catawba tree, a squirrel hunter from GA gave us. The first year I kept it in a flower pot...set it out last spring. Looking good.
This is a Red Bud tree I dug up over the fence. It may bloom next year.
Larry has put water right next to my chicken pen. Great convenience. What more could anyone want. I lift a lid to get eggs and now have water at my chicken pen.
Above is what I DO NOT like about Banties and below a hen is taking a bath.

This is one of my pretty red hens the nurse at school gave me. I have 5 of them. Below is the Lambs Ear Fleta gave me. I may have to move it to a more sunny spot.
This is Honeysuckle and I wish you could have smelled it today.

This is a wild white rose.
And a wild pink one.
Here is my garden with the grass growing in it. Luckily it was to wet to work in today.

Portfolio

Erin gave me the pictures on her camera on Easter. There are about 100 photos and all are better than mine. I call this horse a strawberry roan, but it may be a red appaloosa. Anyway, I think it is a pretty horse. Sigrid showed Clayton how to feed the horse and she kept saying 'he will not hurt you'.

Pop's Greta loves his tractors. She says something meaning tractor....
This is Laura and her friend...they went to see the Pioneer lady together.
