Garden is Growing

The deer are not bothering my garden and it is growing.  The reason they are on a hiatus is the last picture. Larry put a game camera so we could see and that second picture shows they did come to eat, but we let

our young Feist pup out and he got that deer out before a minute passed.  Only ate one bean.  Since that night, Sarge has barked a lot and at first it was a little irritating but then we figured out the deer were in the pasture wanting to come and eat my garden.  I hope Sarge does not get lazy and let them venture into the yard.   I guess I should buy him a steak or if I had the money some BACON!

Volleyball Scrimmage Today

 Okay, if you are tired of looking at Astrid play volleyball...soon I will not be posting volleyball pictures...but I will be posting basketball pictures.  Today her team scrimmaged the 8th grade (she is 7th).   They won one of the games and the JR High Coach said she could not wait to get her for her team!  That's my girl!  Well, unless you ask Pop.  They played two Conway schools last evening and won both!  So they have beaten all 4 Conway Middle Schools!  Go Gales!  Go Astrid!

Clayton is ready for picture day.  If he gets his picture taken at school, it will be his first.  He has always just refused saying 'I don't want my picture taken'.  Guess he thinks his Momma takes enough pictures.

Astrid is playing volleyball at Conway.  Her team got ahead by several points and her Coach let her do her jump serve.  She has been dying to try it in a game.  Laura videoed it for me and sent it to me.  Laura was so nervous for Astrid that she is shaking. Also, I can hear her in the background.   Pop is at the game with Laura.  They beat one Conway school and will play another one after the B team plays.  Astrid thinks she is going to like basketball better than volleyball.   I am just glad she is successful.

New Shoes

Wanted to show Helen my new shoes.  They are Muck shoes and waterproof.  They cost me a pretty penny but I think they will last the rest of my life.  My other pair I have had about 25 years and they are toast!  I know Helen wishes she had a pair of these to wear as they are so stylish!

Blue Birds Aplenty

Fleta will say I just had one Blue Bird and took its picture over and over, but that is not what happened. After the rain stopped, the Blue Birds swarmed in and I had them all over. They wanted to take a bath. I guess they felt dirty from sitting in the tree while it rained.
