River Fest

Astrid went to River Fest with a cowboy.  I hope they had a good time.  The country music was good.  Eric and Ingie like pop music and all they had was rappers.  They did not attend the second night.  Astrid is working today.

Whirly Windchime

I requested another windchime from Erin for Mother's Day.  I got a spinning one.  It surely is pleasant.

Erin and Greg took the kids to Springfield on a fun day.  Greta won the limbo contest!  No surprise as she is so talented!

 New pond is ready for rain!  Got almost 2 inches yesterday.

One More

 Found one more photo of Astrid at graduation with a friend--this is Maddie and she is a very sweet girl.  I had her mother as a student a long time ago. 

Above, Astrid posted this picture of her sweet Corgi--Phoebe is about half the size of our Phinnie, but both have the sweetest dispositions.

Hummingbird Feeder Moat

 For over a week I have not been having any hummingbirds at my feeder.  Well, I took it down to look--full of ants.  We have so many ants.  Yesterday, Larry made me a hummingbird feeder moat.  There is water in the little cup and the ants have to cross the moat to get to the feeder.    I will have to make sure it stays full of water.  I had tried Vick's Suave but they finally crossed it. Sure hope this works.

School's Out

Clayton and Greta have the nicest neighbor.  Her name is Freida.  She invites them to come play with her two grandchildren.  The boy is Clayton's age and the girl Greta's.   Here she has taken them over to her son's house to swim.  Looks like they are having a great time.  Freida lets them play and have a great time.  It is nearly all outside stuff!

Greta has her back walkover.  This is not an easy skill.  She loves tumbling and is good at it!

Crawdad and Tumbling

 These two had fun at Crawdad Days.  Harrison has Crawdad Days.  Atkins has Pickle Fest.  Dover has something.  Nearly every little town has a day and it is a way to raise money, I think.  Little Rock has River Fest and it is a big event.

Clayton and Greta loved the rides.  Greta tried the zipper but cried and the operator stopped and let her off.   She is just in first grade, well I guess second now. 

 Astrid is good a running and most team sports.  Ingrid loves dancing and loves to read.  Sigrid fav is swimming.  Greta is good at sports, but also a great little tumbler.  Clayton is my academic boy.  This Granny has it all.

 I always notice that Greta pays attention.  If you have a hearing problem, you have to pay attention to know what is going on.  In a big gym, there is background noise and she probably can't hear a lot.  But Greta watches and takes note.

Monday Again

 These are the desert cakes Laura had made for Astrid's celebration.  Below is what Tech gave her for the academic scholarship--which is full tuition.  Laura placed it on the table with all the green and gold--Tech's colors.

 This photo was new at Laura's.  Laura's home is filled with pictures of family.  There was another new one of the 3 girls, but it blurred.  My camera does not do well indoors.  Fleta says it is a setting, but I am too dumb to fix it.

 This was drawn on the bulletin board and Laura said--Sig drew it when she was mad because Laura made her do something.  Anyway, Laura is in the middle--she hates kids. Dad has on a shirt declaring he is a diabetic.  Astrid has big eye lashes and a shirt saying Corgi.  Ingrid is labeled Tom, but I don't get the meaning.  Sigrid has a crown on her head and is designated as QUEEN.  I guess she got her frustration out drawing all this!

Astrid is even pretty in that graduation hat.  Most look sort of dorky, but Astrid looks fabulous.
