Ingrid’s a Senior.

Ingrid’s enjoying attending Cyclone events with her friends.  They are seniors !  Hard to fathom.   Seems like just yesterday she was playing a donkey in her kindergarten play at Pottsville Elementary.   Ingrid was the star of the kindergarten's musical.  Going to Brenden town...she played the donkey. She knew all the songs and all her lines. She was not scared in the least.

Placemats from cord

Astrid’s table is dark.  Her rope placemats and runner will look exquisite together.

More crafts by Astrid

My flowering moss that Astrid bought me earlier this summer is really blooming and growing.  I will bring it in this winter and try to keep it.
Laura's birthday is September 1st.  Astrid surprised her today with a new door wreath.  Looks really striking.
Erin has a blanket for Ada that it strapped to her I guess.  She does not want her to get chilled in the night.  She said her bedroom was pretty cool at night.
Here is the senior photo I chose of Ingrid.  I like the old fashioned photos.  She looks really pretty.

Laura is crafty too.  She made Astrid a table runner.  Astrid made place mats out of cord.  I can't recall if I shared a photo.  She just winded it around and around.  The runner is on Laura's table.

Crafty Asti

My little renter made a wreath for the front door.  Wooden sign on sale, wreath discounted at hobby lobby, and flowers from everything a dollar store.  Looks perfect for fall.
Here is the wall shelf she is making.  The outer edge runs with the tree edge.

And Astrid has watermelons and more in her little garden.

Sigrid and Friends

Sigrid’s smile is so pretty.  Ellie is in the middle and Kenzie is second on left.  I don’t know the others by name.

19 years apart

Ada is off to daycare and Astrid to College.  Nineteen years separate these two Grand girls.  Both precious.  They almost share a birthday.  Astrid’s is April 7 and Ada’s is April 6.

Brace Yourself

Sigrid finally got her braces removed.  She was ready.  Said her mouth and gums felt weird.

Before and after

Little things make a big difference.  Laura added new grates to her  living room vents.  After almost 20 years of wear, they have had it.

Well, Laura just informed she painted the old grates and did not buy new.  She is her Daddy’s girl.

Memories

 Memories
A little stream flows through the hills,
Above it sings the whippoorwills.
In years gone by it heard the squeal
Of children's merry laughter peal,
As they would skip and slip and slide,
And watch the sunlit fishes glide
Over rocks and down the sandy side
Of the banks of the stream where the children bide
Their time on shimmering, summer days
And splash and play in the summer haze.

Laura’s Buffet

Astrid refurnished a table and chairs for Laura.  Then she sold her old stuff and bought this buffet.  Today she finished it.  So lovely.

Over 10 pounds

Ada Mae weighs over 10 pounds.  Doc said time for cereal.  It’s amazing that in the 1960s kids were fed Pet Milk with half water and a tablespoon of karo syrup per can.  They did just fine with no car seats or bike helmets or iPads.

Head waters of the Arkansas

Logan and Astrid have been having a great time in Colorado this week.  Logan’s Dad came from Arizona and met them there.  They rafted the Arkansas one day.  Now they are going on to Moab, Utah for a day or two then home.

My New Patsy

I feel badly that everyone is having to head back to school and work, but there are some pluses.  Amy~Patsy sent these on day one.  Pop and I are reaping the rewards of Laura’s labor.  These are homemade fig bars with oat topping.  Healthy and delicious too.  I tried to think of something to make and send to school, but most of my recipes turn into chicken feed.  Laura bought a pumpkin muffin on her way out this morning.  Pop said these aren’t my favorites, but he did not offer to let me have his!!

Place to get ready

Where Ing works they gave her a shelf.  She painted it and added it to her room.  I zoomed in and checked out her books.  Saw Johnny Cash.

Laura made homemade ice cream last week end.  Heavenly.  Momma made the best ice cream.

Laura’s bathroom is the size of a postage stamp.  Sigrid and she made a dressing room.  It’s the extra room since Astrid moved up the hill.

Astrid and Logan are in Colorado.  They are meeting his Dad there.  They will hike, ride four wheelers and have outdoor fun.  She sent this picture of the Arkansas River.
