Larry Gene Renfroe, age 70, of Pottsville, died Saturday, February 29, 2020, at home.  He was born on June 16, 1949, in Russellville to Eugene Garrison and Ethel Renfroe.  His grandparents, Fines and Ada Standridge Renfroe helped raise him.

In addition to his grandparents and parents, he was preceded in death by an uncle, Walter Renfroe; and his step-father, George Wheatley.  

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Betty Powell Renfroe; two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura Christensen (Eric) and Erin Jones (Greg); three brothers, Gary Renfroe, Douglas Wheatley, and Roger Garrison; two sisters, Evelyn Garrison and Cynthia Nelson; six grandchildren, Astrid, Ingrid, Sigrid, Clayton, Greta and Ada; and two aunts, Pearl Grigsby and Helen Renfroe.

All services are private with arrangements by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Pop always put his family first.  He drew his last breath on February 29 so we would only have to live the anniversary every four years.

Pop and I have had one Valentine for 46 years.   She brought us sweets to have with our coffee this morning.

Beautiful Cyclone

 In the Cyclone page I noticed this pretty girl and then realized it was my own Ingie.

Shod

Clayton needed new shoes.  He’s pretty hard on his foot wear.  I told Erin I wanted to buy him new shoes.  He pretty much wears them out in a month.  Erin said he could spend $100.  I didn’t say that I said get good shoes.  Well, he liked these wild looking Nike’s.  He told Erin he’d pay all over a hundred by the time he got to the check out he was hedging.  He got his shoes without having to spend his money.  Clayton is about 5’9” tall and wears an 11 to 12 shoe.  He is in 6th grade.  He takes after his Pop Renfroe.

Amy—our Valentine

My new Patsy remembered us for Valentine’s Day.  This is orange, cranberry nut bread with icing.  We won’t be able to wait until February 14.

Pom Pom Bouquets

Sigrid is making Pom Pom bouquets for some special friends for Valentine’s Day.
