If the first 3 digits of the barcode are 690, 691 or 692, the product is MADE IN CHINA . 471 is Made in Taiwan . |
Manufacturers don't always show from which country a product is made.
However, you may now refer to the barcode, remember if the first 3 digits are:
00 - 09 ... USA & CANADA
30 - 37 ... FRANCE
40 - 44 ... GERMANY
47 ... Taiwan
49 ... JAPAN
50 ... UK
690-695 ... then it is MADE IN CHINA .

I thought about printing it or saving it somewhere, but then decided to mnaybe try to remember. If nothing else, this bit of information could make you apear smarter than another shopper. You can say, "Oh, this was made in France becasue the bar code is ??? Well, I have already forgotten. China is 690 something, US and Canada 00-09 and Tiawian maybe 791 or 7 something. Do I sound smarter than the average shopper?
