My beautiful baby sister is hard at work on her coffin. She sent me these pictures yesterday. Needless to say, I wasn’t excited about getting the details of her new project. Larry made that cross glued to the top and she had a gentleman neighbor build the …ah…box. She wants to be prepared. Ready for what’s ahead. I am opting for cremation and not planning any details. I told her there are THREE sisters—close that lid!

Oh it is a beautiful box and cross. My son in laws father built his coffin a pine box...plain...he was a Lutheran Minister he loaded it into the hearse and sent it off to the funeral home when he knew he would be needing it...the photo of he and his children loading it up is something else. I bet your sister is comforted by her resting place. I am with you on cremation. :)
Me too. I want to be cremated too.Bob was and we took his ashes over to the church campgrounds and scattered them there. That's what he wanted. I want my ashes to be scattered where we scattered his.
I think that's a great idea, getting your own coffin hand-made. Like you, we are opting for cremation. I still don't know what they should do with my ashes. They could sprinkle my ashes on my parents graves, or in the green cathedral that's part of my walk in the woods.
