This is St. John’s Wort! It gets its name because it often blooms on the birthday of the biblical John the Baptist. The flowers and leaves have hyperforin in them and are used in teas, tablets, liquids, and preparations that are put on the skin. One of its uses is to treat depression.
The little white bloom is Fleabane. It’s called Fleabane because the plants’ odor can repel fleas.

We have the pretty little Fleabane up here but St Johns Wart is not seen often. I enjoy the wildflowers!
