Apartment For Rent

We put up two new apartments yesterday.  The hexagon ones are the new ones.  They cost a lot because they are both aluminum not plastic like so many of them now.  We have one on the ground that we will repair.  When the Martins get here there be 6 apartment complexes.   I saw the first scout yesterday and last year they were building nests by March 24.  I look forward to watching my neighbors this summer and also look forward to sitting outside in the mosquito free air!

Winning The Mile Run

I don't see anyone even near my girl!

Ingrid

I took this when Ingrid stayed all night.  I fixed pancakes for her breakfast.  Ingrid is one smart little girl.  She reads huge books and reads them fast.  She likes to read series.  That way she has several to read.  Her teacher Mr. Heaton tries to find books for her.  She played volleyball Saturday at Conway and Mr. Heaton came to watch her play.  Her Pop watched her, too.  Ingrid loves dance and takes several hours of lessons a week.  She dances ballet, hip hop, jazz, and tap.  She is good at all of them.

Oh, Grandma's can brag...it is allowed.

Another Hike

Erin and her family went on another hike last weekend.  What a great thing for a family to do.  Erin said she got a good workout as she had to carry Greta all the way!   Notice too that Clayton can print his name.  He says the Y is hard, though.

Track Season

Astrid ran in her first track meet today.  She got first in the mile, first in the 800 meter run, and first in the 1600 meter relay!   Three blue ribbons!  How about that!  Soccer is coming soon!  I am not surprised that she can run. That is the one thing that I was pretty good at, too.

Lucinda Powell

This is the daughter of James Walton Powell.  She is with her husband Samuel Boone Bradley.  I am always amazed to finally see some of the ancestors we have 'found' without an image.

Siggie Ran

Siggie is shown here with her P.E. teacher before the race.  I was the teacher's teacher...so old.  She won a medal.  The woodpeckers have been hanging around.   Clayton and Greta went on a hike last weekend with their mother.  Erin has always loved hiking.  I hope she can pass this pastime on to her little ones.

Ready, Set, Go!

Ready, set, go, Siggie, go!  Siggie ran the mile at school today and tomorrow she will run it in the Little Rock Marathon.  She was first 2nd grade girl, today.  I hope she wraps up tomorrow as it will be a cold run!

Another Mystery

When we went squirrel hunting in the Ouachita Forest, I spied this.  It looks man made and I wonder what it is?
