Sarah Francis Sing
Sarah Francis Sing, age 79, of Harrison, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014, in Harrison. She was born November 9, 1934, in Denver, Arkansas, the daughter of Benjamin Huston and Ruth (Avery) Rand. Along with her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Sing; her sister, Opal Plott; and two brothers, Bill Rand and Ed Rand.
Mrs. Sing was of the Baptist Faith. She was a graduate of Omaha High School. She married Clarence Sing in Hernando, Mississippi, on September 1, 1954. She worked at the Hotel Peabody in Memphis, the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau for over 10 years and Share and Care for 15 years.
In 1992, Sarah moved back to Harrison. She enjoyed antique shopping and auctions with her husband, and by doctor’s orders, she enjoyed going to different Casinos. She enjoyed Being around people and loved her children, and especially her grandchildren.
Sarah is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Teresa Smith of Harrison, Judy and Ivor Pardee of Greer, South Carolina, and Shannon Burcham; seven grandchildren, Rachel Smith-Milburn, Maybelle Pardee, Jacob Fulghum, John Fulghum, Ronnie Burcham, Cole Burcham and Huston Pardee; and a great-granddaughter, Sarah Noelle Burcham.
Sarah is also survived by her sister, Nettie Powell; her brother, Dean Rand; a host of other family; and many dear friends.
