Eighteen eggs yesterday

New Chickens..

Old Chickens

I got 18 eggs yesterday. Patsy is ordering
new chickens for the spring. I am excited to
try a few of them. They are full sized and
will lay brown eggs. I hope she can keep the
neighbor's cat away from them. These chickens
should lay an egg each day. Bantams set more
than the chickens bred to be eggers, but a
Bantam is very beautiful and esay to keep. I
am anxious to see how the new breed will do.

I think I will use some of my expensive eggs today and make an angel food cake it sounds really good....I will freeze the yokes for noodles later....My last noodles were so good...after reading Pat's blog weeks ago I realized she does not put salt in the flour that was making mine tough.....honestly mine were as good as Mama's....remember how good her's were...

Laura gets all the eggs she wants...and I let her give them to her friends. I give some to an old lady at church who loves them. May have to start selling them!

What bounty, Sister Three. Your chickens must be very happy, laying all those eggs for you and the whole community!
